Café Noir, the Italian patisserie, located in the open space of Pheonix Mall on the Whitefield Road, Bengaluru. This charming little place is home to some of the best Italian food one can get their hands on. They are focused on providing affordable yet luxurious dishes with a calm and comfortable atmosphere. You can hit the place anytime for delicious breakfast through classy dinner. The pastry shop is full of satisfying and simple traditional options, combining the latest in French cuisine with the comfort French delicacies.
The first thing you would notice about this upmarket French restaurant is the elegance of the sitting arrangement. You have an option to sit inside as well as outside, which caters to all sets of people. Once you sit there, you would witness the weekly special carefully handwritten on the blackboard, which provides the offers going on for the week. The open seating is my favorite as it provides one with the feel of actually eating on the street, which adds to the overall experience. Inside you would find grey, white and black combination decor with careful lighting, making it a very elegant and pleasant ambiance.
I have had the privilege to eat at some of the finest French restaurants in the city and for me, Cafe Noir does stand out and would be rated among the top. The French cuisine in the restaurant is mind-blowing. I personally wanted to meet the chef and congratulate him on what he has achieved with the food which comes out of the kitchen. It is surely a celebration of French cuisine. Between visiting the place to writing this review, I have visited Cafe Noir two times, which says a lot.
On this particular occasion, we ordered Ratatouille aux épices, Lasagnes aux légumes, Le Jardin pizza and the special of the week – Mango Cheesecake.
Lasagnes aux légumes was tremendously tasteful. The perfect texture and consistency of the sauce combined with the perfectly cooked pasta topped with fresh vegetables and garlic bread. One of the best lasagna out there, hands down.
I have always been a big fan of Ratatouille and whenever I get a chance I do order one. I had been on my journey to discover the perfect Ratatouille and little that I know that Ratatouille aux épices were the one. Best I have had since a very long time. The vegetables were cooked to perfection without a trace overdressing. A treat for the taste buds.
The Mango Cheesecake was great. I have had better but this one was respectable. It matches the overall concept and aura the restaurant is going for. WOuld love to try other pastries as well.

The food, hands down.
Even though the outside seating is relaxed, but if there are any events going on in the Mall, then might make it little uncomfortable. But then, you also have the inside patisserie.
