The Globe Grub, Marathahalli

The Globe Grub Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

The Globe Grub – as the name suggests is aimed at providing the customers the global cuisines with a large spread at a single location. In short, there is something for everyone. This concept is slowly catching up and therefore we see a lot of new restaurants cropping up around it. This is not a ‘grill at your table’ notion but rather serve at the table.

The appetizers and starters are quite good. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are delicious. Special mention for broccoli, prawns, tandoori chicken and dum ki Macchi. They were served at a good pace and refilled in no time. Though, we had to wait for a long for the fish to arrive. The service was great with the waiters smiling and making sure that we, as a group of 20, were well attended to.

Moving to the main course, nothing great. It was not up to mark and totally worth skipping. When you have such an amazing start to your meal, the end makes it difficult to forget. Advise to the management: the main course is the major portion for vegetarian customers and it needs to be sorted.

I had been hearing a lot of good reviews for the place and overall it did meet a lot of items on the checklist. Was it perfect? Nope. But it is worth to visit it and have a gala time and do make sure that you go on an empty stomach!

Food Menu: available at Zomato!

Location – 3.5/5 (The restaurant is located on the service road of Outer Ring Road in Marathahalli which in itself is congested, no fault of the restaurant since it is still a prime location with a lot of movement of customers. But due to the location, sometimes the experience of reaching the place affects your mood somehow, but the ambiance does make up for it!)

Ambiance – 4.5/5 (The ambiance surprises once you enter the restaurant. All wooden deck with happy customers eating. The environment is chirpy and high. There could be better music which will add to the points but worth it!)

Staff – 5/5 (No complaints – loved the hospitality and the smile!)

Food – 3.5/5 (Starters were amazing, probably among the best out there but the main course was not good. Biryani has too much salt, most of the deserts were not great, nothing spectacular about other main dishes. Though I agree you would end up not eating much of the main course but does not mean that it should be ignored by the management.)

Value for Money – 4/5 (There are options with similar food at more reasonable prices)

What’s good? The starters, hands down!

What’s bad? The main course can be ignored.

Cheers! Akshat.
