XOOX Brewmill, Koramangala 5th Block

XOOX Brewmill Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

You all would agree that space is the rarest commodity in Bangalore right now! But the moment you enter XOOX (pronounced ‘Zooks’) – you will be shocked with the sheer overwhelming amplitude of this place! And it really is a gastronomic heaven. I would say this is one of those rare spots which do justice to the ever changing landscape of Koramangala 5th block. It is more than just a brewery, which is serving some of the most unique and complete selection of beers (yes, they have the apple cider – and it is amazing). XOOX Brewmill aims to develop in to a home for artists and live performers for which they have the right ingredients and are heading in the right direction.

XOOX is blessed with plush interiors which give it a distinct aura and charm which grows on you. The yellow and blue lighting accent, the brew mills behind the bar, the multi level seating, indoor and outdoor options are all available and perfectly define the concept XOOX is trying to achieve. You will feel empowered with the beauty and simplicity with which the interiors are done. I went on a during evening time so can’t really comment what it would be like during brunch time but seeing the comments from fellow reviewers – should be lovely – why don’t you try it out!

Coming to service, I would say it is at par with all the best brews and subs I have recently visited. The standard of service has increased many folds in the recent times with top notch people and servers and restaurant managers who provide exceptional people experiences all round. This is my basic expectation and it was met with flying colours!

Food items we ended up ordering were –

Course 1- Apple Cider – Dehydrated Dosa/Masala Papadi Nachos

Course 2- Belgian Wit – Cantonese Chicken/ Tibetan Chicken

Course 3- Hefeweizen – Cheesy Golgappa Pakora/Cheesy Bunny Chow

Course 4-  Japanses Dry Blonde Ale – Chimchuri Prawns/ Coasted Spiced Fish

Course 5- Scottish Ale – Lal Maas /Ratatouille Lasagne

Course 6- Smoked Amber –  Buttermilk Panacotta / Tres Leches Cake

Let me start with the great collection of beers – we have apple cider, Belgian wit, hefeweizen, nitro milk stout, Japanese dry blonde ale, smoked amber ale, citrus and scotch brown ale. Every beer has a unique taste which I am sure will cater to every tastebud with ease. Personally, I liked the smoked amber ale and apple cider.

Special mention to Dehyderated Dosa- it is a Mangalorean dosa, which is dehyderabad to an extent it resembles a khakhra! This is topped with tomato chilli chutney. This combination is an experience of textures for the tastebuds which makes it stand out!

Overall food quality was very very good. Loved every dish to the core. Can’t complaint about a single thing which went wrong in this place. Probably worth trying everything on the menu!

Location – 4/5 (Located in Koramangala, the heart of food for Bengaluru. There is availability of valet parking which makes it easier. Though, I am not sure what is the scene when Koramangala is crowded with food enthusiast. Might be a problem for space.)

Ambiance – 5/5 (All natural with amble lighting. Amazing.)

Staff – 5/5 (No complaints whatsoever!)

Food – 5/5 (With delicious options to choose from, there is no complaint about the taste, quantity, and quality of the food coming out of their kitchen! )

Value for Money – 4/5 (Perfect price for perfect food!)

What’s good? Dehyderated dosa and apple cider beer!

What’s bad? Nothing really.

Keep following. Cheers.
