Don’t we all want to wake up at 10 AM on a Sunday and just have a feast of a brunch which has a little bit of north, a little bit of south and awesomeness all around? Buff Buffet Buff is one such place where the craving of every hunger panda will be taken care of. I mean the place has ‘Buffet’ in its name – isn’t it obvious? Well, okay I agree – it is very obvious BUT you are going to be surprised by the crazy choice of food and cuisine they offer in their buffet. This isn’t the ordinary buffet where you come with a set mind of palate and cuisine to try – because I can bet that if you are on a diet will be thrown out of the window once you enter this place! Buffet? yes, please!
Located conveniently in Koramangala 5th Block is part of the Blue Petals group, which also houses their other restaurant, Sultan’s of Spice, and the Blue Petals Hotel. It is on the Jyoti Nivas College Road, although it is not only focused on the college crowd! They have valet parking and ample waiting area as well – which tends to be used a lot due to the rush they see during weekends. You are not bothered by this information after looking at the photographs of the food they offer, right? We’ll get to the food. Patience my friend.
Restaurant staff is particularly courteous and go out of their way to make customers happy. It was evident with the kind of energy and smile they emit while serving the people around and they do it with pride. I had interactions with the servers, manager as well as the chef – and they knew what they stand for. Three stars to the team at Buff Buffet Buff– way to go! Having said this, I can assure you that even if there were no waiters – you would not be concerned much – you would be running to and fro the kitchen for the amazing food!
“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”― J.R.R. Tolkien
The menu consists of over 60 different variety of options and I am not making this up! I can’t upload the complete list of the menu because it would be too much information but I would definitely like to name the starters I liked above the rest:
- Minestrone Soup
- Ludhiana Paneer Tikka
- Veg Pizza Bites
- String Beans in Singapore Black Pepper Sauce
- Bhatti Da Tangdi Kabab
- Shahajahani Mutton Seekh
- Egg Manchow Style
- Pudina Chicken Chapli
Yes – you read it – this is just part of the complete menu and this only is the list of starters! They have various live counters ranging from dimsums and Mongolian cuisine, salads of at-least 6 variety, main course where I would like to specially mention – lachhedar paneer, dal nawabi handi, tarkari biryani, dhabe da kukkad (chicken), laal maas, and dum biryani! Dessert section contained lots of options like darsaan, gulab jamun, ice creams, chocolate tarts, butter scotch pastry and fruits. Phew! Already salivating, this is not a good sign – I might need to visit the place again – I think I am missing a lot of items from the bottom of my heart! (lol)
As a customer, you do need to understand that when a restaurant serves buffet – they are taking a big risk. You ask why? This is because the buffet is not limited to one cuisine – the perfect buffet has to cater to all the taste buds with ease and cover multiple cuisines, as customers are demanding. Being good at one cuisine or one kind of cooking is a child’s play compared to mastering all the cuisine served, especially in a such a place where they have gone an extra mile to provide the customers with additional choices.
Buff Buffet Buff does the task of providing top class dishes from its kitchen, ensuring that each dish in the menu is prepared with love and provides the ‘food-gasm’ for which customers are paying the money! I was surprised with the satisfaction the high quality of ingredients and the well thought menu provides to me as a food blogger. This is what is called ‘Buff’ the buffet. If I have to point out a particular flaw – I would say that the dessert section tends to be on the heavier side – if they can include ingredients which are lighter and provide a palate cleansing – they would be a great addition to the menu! Personally, I think I have not eaten a dish at any buffet and felt that there is no need to improve anything. But surprisingly, I am not able to say that about the food at Buff Buffet Buff. What one dish misses to cater, the other dish is able to cover it up! It was a celebration of my tastebuds!
The Final Words
Ambiance – 4/5 (Small space, yet beautifully decorated with simple artwork. Ample lighting makes the place look big and cozy. Though, nothing out of the ordinary. Primary focus is food)
Staff – 5/5 (No complaints whatsoever!)
Food – 5/5 (With delicious options to choose from, there is no complaint about the taste, quantity, and quality of the food coming out of their kitchen! With so many options, I am pretty sure you shall find something worth your time and money here)
Value for Money – 5/5 (Perfect price for perfect food!)
What’s good? (Laal Maas, Bhatti Da Tangdi Kabab, Biryani)
What’s bad? (Nothing as such. The desserts could be made as a palate cleasner)
